She Learnt it the Hard Way

Today, on the 4th of July 2023, I finally sit down to post this blog. It has been a long since my birthday, filled with moments of procrastination😅. But after numerous drafts and several months of writing, I am here now, ready to share this with you.

My intention is to offer some helpful insights. I hope you take the time to read it and if you enjoy it, don't forget to leave a heart in the comments❤️

1. Be grateful for what you have in your life, as this was something you dreamt of years ago.

2. Strive for financial independence, as you never know where life will take you.

3. Don't be a people pleaser; learn to say no when you disagree with something. Speak up for what you believe is right, whether at home, at work, or anywhere else.

4. Gain control over your anger by practicing patience. It's natural to get excited, but avoid making promises you can't keep when happy, and refrain from speaking impulsively when angry. Master your emotions.

5. Don't let anyone disturb your inner peace, as it can harm your mental well-being.

6. Master the art of letting go, understanding that not everyone is meant to stay in your life.

7. Never give up on pursuing the things you truly want.

8. Instead of announcing your plans, let your actions speak louder than words.

9. Effective communication skills are crucial in any field.

10. Don't feel obligated to explain yourself to those who don't matter, but do offer explanations to those you value.

11. Don't beg anyone to stay in your life; the ones meant to be will remain without you pleading.

12. Stay away from toxic people. In just a few encounters, you can determine if someone is good for you. Don't let anyone question your self-worth, whether they're family, friends, or outsiders.

13. Be discerning when making friends; not everyone who crosses your path is a true friend. If you feel alone, embrace the art of self-love because inner peace is a priceless treasure.

14. If you can't help someone or offer a solution to their problem, don't become their problem.

15. Be kind to everyone and choose your words wisely, as you never know how your actions can impact someone's day. Make sure to extend the same kindness to yourself.

16. Forgive yourself for mistakes, learn from them, and avoid being too hard on yourself. Healing takes time, and so do humans.

17. Embrace your unique beauty and avoid comparing yourself and your life to those portrayed on social media. Embracing your insecurities is a powerful step forward. People will judge you, regardless of what you do or how you do it. Don't let their opinions affect you; instead, let them shape you positively.

18. Prioritize self-improvement to spread love and positivity, contributing to a happier generation.

19. No one can love and care for you the way you can. Prioritize self-care and self-love to be able to love others. Throughout your journey of self-love, self-discovery, and freedom, don't forget that your parents have supported you through every phase. Take time for your parents, talk to them, and cherish those 10-15 minutes as the best moments of the day.

20. Take care of your health by maintaining a healthy diet.  Don't forget to incorporate spirituality into your life, read books, and listen to music. Don't do things just to appear cool on social media; make sure that you genuinely enjoy the activities.

To end, There is no strict divide between introverts and extroverts; it's all in your mindset. Be more confident.

Though I feel I've learned a great deal in my 20 years, there's still more to explore. These 20 major lessons have been invaluable to me so far.

Thank you for being here. I hope you took the time to really dive into the content and found it enjoyable🫰

The Day I Saw Your Eyes Shine Bright

Dear Sissy, Today, I noticed something special in your eyes - a sparkle of joy and happiness that I haven’t seen before, a sparkle that reminds me of little Sakshi when she achieves something she has worked so hard for. Seeing you smile that way filled my heart with pride and happiness. I’ve watched you work so hard, every day, with so much dedication. And today, as you took your first-ever flight, I felt deep sense of joy and pride. You inspire me and Darsh in so many ways and we look up to you, not just because you’re our sister, but because you’re strong, wise, and amazing woman. You’ve grown so much over the years. I’ve never seen you want something without putting in the effort to get it. Being the first in our family to take a flight for a national trip is a big deal to me because I know how much you’ve worked and saved for this moment. Your dreams are big, and your beliefs are strong and they motivate us to dream big too, and not be afraid of going after what we want. You have a...

Between Holding On and Letting Go

You know how they say time flies? Well, that's true, but memories, they don't disappear so easily. The moments you share with someone special don’t just fade away. They linger, becoming a part of you. You don't really move on from those memories; instead, you learn to live with them, accepting the beautiful chaos they bring into your life.  To keep moving forward, you sometimes have to be practical, setting aside those memories, moments, and even the people tied to them. Life continues for everyone, and as it does, it teaches you lessons, shapes your character, and imparts wisdom. It shows you who you really are. And with these lessons in mind, you press on, knowing that dwelling on the past won’t reveal the beautiful story that’s yet to unfold or the unexpected turns that lie ahead. They both knew it wasn’t easy. At least, that’s what she believed. During their last conversation, he said, “Goodbye before I break down and tears start falling.” Little did he know, she was pr...
